Emily de Molly | May 2017

Emily de Molly knows all the right notes to play. Every month brings us a new collection of shimmering beauties...I just don't know how she does it. But every month, she does it so right.

State of Mind
What is better than holo? How about a multichrome holo? Oh, and did I mention that there are also some coppery rose holo glitters in there too? Yeah...EdM is coming for your wallet here. The formula is amazing, and I used two coats plus a layer of Seche Vite for these pictures.

Sparta Drive
This is a dusty, subdued raspberry sherbet shade filled with shifting aqua shimmer. Its the perfect "office friendly" shade...but with a tiny bit of mischief. It applies like a cream and I used just two coats here, followed by a layer of Seche Vite to get the glossy look seen here.

Perception is Key
Another sneaky, sexy multichrome holo with holo glitter. In photos it shows a green face, but in reality is is a lot more blue + purple. I just love colors like these...except for the photographing. I feel like I am constantly saying "you have to seeeeeee it". But it is true. Bring this baby home, you won't be sorry. The formula is smooth and divine, and I used two coats plus a layer of Seche Vite here.

On the Bench
This is a warm, burnished gold holo filled with orange holo glitter. On me, this looks very grown up and Fall appropriate. I think on someone with a warmer/deeper skin tone, this would be a glorious neutral holo. (If you fit that bill and pick this up, please tag me? For science!) It applies smooth and easy, and (again) I only needed two coats plus a layer of Seche Vite for these pictures.

It's Sunday Somewhere
Speaking of grown-up, check out this soft shell-pink holo. It is filled with a mix of iridescent hexes pink holo hexes, and even a dusting of shifting shimmer. It is feminine and soft, but still sophisticated. Because this one is so dense, it is a wee bit thicker than the rest of this group..though I still only needed two coats plus Seche Vite for these pictures.

Bring the Light
This is an icy, pale lilac linear holo with holo glitter. Need I say more? I have a notoriously large place in my heart for colors like this, so when it comes to judging this one I just can't be objective. The formula is like magical satin. The color is like a frosty coastal twilight. The rainbow is strong and true. Sigh. Objectively, it applied super smooth and nice. I used two coats plus a layer of Seche Vite here.

Ava
This electric orchid is another color that I have a huge fucking tiny bit of a bias towards. Adding that shifting turquoise shimmer to it just makes me love it more. Oh, and did I mention that this is almost a one coater? Because yeaaaah. This is the good stuff.  I used one medium coat and achieved perfect opacity. Without a topper, this polish is a lovely demi-matte finish which I kinda dig. I added a second coat for the sake of Seche Vite, but I almost didn't need it. (I also sponged on a layer to my ring to see if it made a difference. Spoiler: it does not.)

And there we are! Another seven glorious shades available for our polishing pleasure. I don't think I can pick a favorite, since there are two of my top three shades in this collection already. I just can't let those icy, faded lilac shades pass me by. It is my version of Achilles' Heel. What is your weak spot when it comes to color?
