B Polished Like Anyone Reads in the Library | Polish Pickup March 2018 | Books

B Polished is a girl after my own heart. For this months Polish Pickup, she has created a beautiful pair of items...one of which is inspired by my tween hearts favorite series: Sweet Valley High. Get ready to hair flip, yall.

(promotional samples ahead)
This is a delicate thermal jelly polish. It starts out in a rubied purple, with the flakes giving it an inner life that really reminds me of Fantasy Fire, but without the green shift. As it warms up, it turns this blusing pink champagne color. The flakes fade into the base color like bubbles in a glass. The formula is pretty good too, though that is no surpise. Ms. Francine is a deft hand at jellies. Hers are never lumpy or textured. I used three coats, plus a layer of Seche, for these pictures and the video below.

This is, like, totally the most amazing inspiration. I read so many of these books as a tween, and the polish looks like it was made from the book cover.

The second item for B Polished this month is a strawberry scented multichrome squishy! These little stress relievers should be standard issue for all dentists offices and waiting rooms. My kids are over the moon about these things, just for the fun aspect. I wish I could say that we didn't have more than 10 of these stashed around the house...I wish. But I can't. We have a ton. Though not one is cool enough that I would stash it in my desk...until now.

It was inspired by The Secret Garden, and it is just perfect.
