Grace-Full Nail Polish + Holo Flakes | Almost Perfect

I am the tardiest adopter that ever existed. These powder pigments have become common-place, so I guess it is time for me to try them out. It didn't go exactly as I dreamt, but it is still pretty fabulous.

I love the metallics from Grace-Full, especially this copper penny shade. But I wanted more. I needed a rainbow! So I scampered off to eBay and ordered an assortment of pigments. Once they arrived, I chose this large partical holo and decided to give the whole "buffed pigment" trend a try. I probably should have watched a tutorial or two...it didn't turn out quite right, but I still like it.

Everything looked fab, and the flakes stuck right to the layer of EdM that I laid on top of Bee's Knees. Then I tried to top coat it with another layer of the EdM..and they began to swim around. The linear rainbow got wobbly and I just gave up. The B Polished did leave a glossy finish, so I had that going for me. Which was nice.

  1. I've never used them because I know it will be an ungodly mess. I love how your mani turned out, though.

  4. I love my pigment powders and flakies. I use them with regular polish, a tacky base and water based polish. ♡

  5. Yeahh, top coating these pigments is a bad idea. You're supposed to use a water-based TC, but I STILL haven't gotten one. They work fine with gel, too.
