Blush Lacquers Beach Bunny Collection

Are you ready for some soft summery shades from Blush Lacquers? This vintage inspired quintet is going to make you long for bonfires at sunset. This was my first blush with this brand (seee what I did there) and I have already added more to my wishlist. By the end of this post, I bet you will too.

(promotional samples ahead)

Teeny Weeny Pink Bikini
This is my kinda pink. It is slightly cool and slightly fuchsia leaning watermelon, with a cool violet flash and a delicately subtle holo sparkle. This was my first Blush polish, and I have already bought another. That is how nice the formula on these is, guys. I used three thin coats here followed by a layer of Seche Vite.

Vintage Vinyl
This pale bridal pink matches the exact color of my Barbie 57 Chevy interior. This polish smells like nostalgia. It has a pearly glow on top of the soft holo. I wrote in my notes that it reminded me of Jem and the Holograms, but I can't remember why. It must be something that you need to see in person to get. The formula was surprisingly smooth, and I used three coats followed by a layer of Seche Vite for these pictures.

you'll notice theres a macro missing for this picture. I'm an idiot and forgot to take one. Superderp!

Banana Boat Float
This is yellow. I know, you are probably prepared for me to say "ugh, this is a yucky color." But I'm fixing to surprise you: I like it. It is buttery and snuggly, like banana taffy with a kick. I recently went through a ton of my polish, and nearly all yellows got the boot...but not this one. It isn't exactly flattering against my rosy cool skin, but its not unflattering. It feels very neutral to me, and I think this shade could be amazing on a very deep/warm skintone. It was creamier than the others, and I used two coats plus Seche Vite here.

Surfboard
This is a bright teal with enough green glow to make a mermaid jealous. This whole collection has a pearly glow, and this one is no different. It really reminds me of those metallic mermaid scale leggings. The formula was lovely, and while I did use three coats here...two were perfectly adequate. I just like putting my topper on a wet layer.

My Beach Umbrella Ella Ella
I know that references something, but my oldness prevents me from getting it. S'ok, I don't have to be hip to enjoy this soft periwinkle or the vibrant lavender flash. Back in the very early 2000's, I had this loose Benefit eyeshadow, but it was in this exact color. It was the first "big girl" makeup I bought myself when I moved out on my own, and I used it so sparingly that I had it well into my 30s. So...this might be my favorite by association. I used two coats here plus a layer of Seche Vite.

Do you need these? I think you need these. Literally the only trouble I had was trying to figure out how to hold these bottles in my giant hands. The formulas were all so nice and smooth, and the delicate holo dusting was restrained enough that these don't look like your dime-a-dozen summery holos.

Blush Lacquers Beach Bunny Collection

These will be available in the Blush Etsy store starting Friday, July 28th at 7pm EST. They are $10 a pop, or $50 for the whole collection, which is wonderfully affordable for a full collection. It will aslo be available via GirlyBitsCosmetics.com at a later date.
