Lemming Lacquer The Dead Walk Box

Lemming Lacquer has the holiday season absolutely pinned down this year. The Conjure Collection, of which I need several, and now The Dead Walk box...its like she was made for the Halloween season. Today we are looking at this glorious box of goodies, just in time to get the scent of Walkers off you!

Fight The Dead
This is a rich, murky, deep olive holo filled with gold flakes of all sizes. Because of those delightful little flakes, I did apply this differently than I normally do. I applied slightly thicker (what normal humans call "average") coats than I usual, and I let each one set a little before I added the second coat. It kept all the flakes exactly where I wanted them. Using this method as opposed to my usual slap-dash methods I only needed two coats plus a layer of Seche Vite for these pictures.

Stolen Chocolate Foaming Whipped Sugar Scrub
This is a chocolately whipped sugar scrub with a secret: it foams. I tested this out as a hand scrub, and it was good stuff. It is also the weirdest, thickest, smoothest, scubbiest thing I've tried in a long while. Wha-how does that even work? It is so mousse-like that I put a dollup on the back of my hand and then wandered around for a good ten minutes...and it never moved. Hallelujah. After scrubbing, my hands felt clean, smooth, and not too dry. I am always a little leery of products with added soap, because my skin is on the sensitive side...but I'm 24 hours in to testing this (and every since product in this box. I am your guinea pig, y'all) and my skin is in better shape than when I started. Two zombie thumbs way up.

Bloody Disguise Body Ganache
This is the pinkest thing I've ever put on...and I'm ok with that. It is a light, fluffy cream that sinks in without leaving a greasy feeling behind. I definitely wouldn't put this on my hands or feet, but I think this could be a great, decadent treat on my legs after a shower. The smell is sweet and fruity, but with a dash of florals in there too. I generally don't like sweet scents on my skin, as they can get very powdery on me after a while. This one didn't. It softened after about 25 minutes, and stopped there. The scent stayed true, but was much more subdued. The kids told me I smelled good when I doled out good-night hugs, but they didn't mention it otherwise. I prefer that sort of scent, honestly.

Walker Strudel Mani Bombs
These bombs are cinnamon scented little piles of awesomeness. (Ignore the broken hand, someone who is totally not named Elly the fatcat completely accidentally and totally not on purpose swatted the hand off the kitchen counter and it broke into several pieces. Dick.) These two bombs are pretty good sized, and I think that the face would be the perfect size for a kids bath or a foot soak.  I am already a big fan of Lemming bombs, and this one is right up there quality wise.

Since I did a fizztacular, I figured I might actually soak my hand. Gotta say, guys...I kinda liked it. I don't often soak my hands because it makes my nails flatten out and get soft...and then I start picking at them. But I had no time for picking, so I figured it was the best time to try. The spicy scent lingered softly on my skin, and when I hopped in the shower thirty minutes later, my hands didn't do that weird "slick-slimy" thing that happens when you shower too soon after applying skin products. I'm saving the head for my feet though!

Carol's Cookies Hand & Body Lotion
I actually have this stuff all over my arms while I write this post. Trust me, there is a bit of a break to sniff my arm. (No one else is home, so no one can see me be weird) This lightweight lotion is creamy without being heavy, but it isn't at all watery. I am a bit fussy when it comes to lotion. I am covered in dry skin, so I not only have ridiculously high standards for lotions but a pretty widespread experience with different formulas. I dunno if I could make this my everyday all-over lotion (because Cetaphil and I are in a long-term relationship currently) but I can definitely see keeping this by my bedside or in my bag for emergencies. The scent is a lovely cake-battery scent that seems to last fairly well. I can still smell it after a few hours. I will definitely be on the lookout for this when spring scents pop up!

Bowman's Aura Cuticle Balm
Oh cuticle balm...what would I do without you? This stuff...it is awesome. It is matte, but moisturizing, and it only melted a little in my stupid-hot house this last week. I feel like it has a slight hemp-oil scent beneath the fragrance...and that gives the fall scent a little more of a grounded feel. I would definitely grab this if it came in a wax tart (hint hint). After my hand soaking, I slapped a little bit of this stuff on my cuticles...and I was pleased as punch.

This box is right up my alley, guys. In fact, as I type this I am watching Fear The Walking Dead...just to get into the mood. This box is available right now at LemmingLacquer.com It'll cost you $30 +shipping, but I think that is a helluva deal for such a jam-packed box. And with Christmas coming, this might just the gift for that Zombie obsessed person in your life.
