Oh Vapid Lacquer, be still my heart. Just when we are getting ready for the flood of vampy Fall shades, you come in like a tropical breeze and give us one last bit of summer.

Use Your Noodle
This bright, happy medium orange shade is just chock full of gold shimmering goodness. There is the slightest yellow-green flash at odd angles from the gold, but of course I can't catch it with my camera. The formula applies wonderfully, surprisingly un-frothy...which a lot of shades with this much shimmer-flakes can suffer from. Hilariously, my husband was playing GTAV while I swatched...and this color matched his car perfectly. It does dry slightly matte, so for these photos I used two coats plus Seche Vite.
By the way, this shade is UV reactive. How 'bout that?
Round 'n' Round
This pinky-mauvey-rosy-orchid shade was made for me. Ok, well not literally...but let us pretend. This is one of my favorite shades in general, and when you add that stellar formula and coppery shimmer...well, let's just say that I dig it. The formula is wonderfully opaque, and I bet people who aren't as addicted to thin coats could get away with one coat. It does dry a bit matte...but I actually like the formula. For the full-hand swatches, I used two coats plus Seche Vite. For the macros, I used one coat without topper. I can't pick a favorite.
Fish Out of Water
This is the most perfect tropical blue shade. It has the coppery shimmer that shifts through the warmer shades of the rainbow to flash green at the end...like a sunset before a storm. This is the thinnest shade of the trio, and while I used two coats here, I think I would use three next time. Especially if my nails are on the longer side. This also dries slightly matte, but holy cow the gloss just pops under the Seche Vite.
and of course, its not a party until someone shows a slideshow.
This trio launched on the 27th of August, 2016. At the time of this writing, there were still a few sets available in the shop! If you like this trio, but you miss out...you'll have to wait until 2017 for it to come back.
Which one is your favorite? The obvious color-favorite aside, I actually really love Use Your Noodle. UV reactive shades always tug at my heartstrings.
