Firecracker Lacquer My Arc Reactor Beats for You

No one does these complex jelly/glitter/madness concoctions like Firecracker Lacquer. This is one of my go-to brands when I want something with a dash of fandom in my awesomeness. I received this shade in a swatch package a while back, and I knew I had to save it for February. It was meant for this month!

This firey red jelly is filled with iridescent shards and micro flakes. It reminds me of molten Hot Tamales, which happen to be my favorite thing in the history of things. I can't tell you how disappointed I was when this didn't actually smell like faux cinnamon. The shining microflakes give it a lava-like glow on the nail which makes it perfect for dim, candlelit dinners.

Because of the shards, you need a little bit of patience with the application here. It isn't a pain by any stretch, but you want to make sure you are careful so the shards lay flat. I used two coats + a Seche Vite/Gelous/Seche Vite sammich to get this deep, vibrant finish...because I am not careful with shards.

This glowing shade is definitely on my short list for Valentine's manicures. What about you? Have you picked out anything special for the mushiest holiday ever?
