Welcome to the Madhouse

Change is hard. Admittedly, I am no great fan of it. But sometimes it is necessary...and it isn't always bad. It is just the way of things...and sometimes you have to let old things go in order to embrace new things.

While I am a bit sad that Pretty Girl Science won't be around for my offspring to take up the torch, I am glad that it was able to be wrapped up on the best possible of terms. I don't think we could have ended it better if we tried.

We have both learned so much from PGS, and each other. I know I am thankful for nearly every second of the last three years. But it is time for us each to go our own way and do our own thing. It will be a lot easier to take over the world if there are two of us...

I hope you guys will stick with both of us. Amanda is ready to rock over at Some Weird Sin. Her new home is absolutely perfect for her. It is going to be a great showcase for her metal aesthetic, and I cannot wait to see what she will do. Rest assured, she will still be sharing all the great drugstore deals and swatches. You can still find her on Instagram and Twitter, so why don't you go over and wish her luck!

In conclusion, where there was once only one, now there are two. And both are awesome. Now let's get this show on the road! I can't wait to get back to work!

  1. Your last part reminded me so much of Zach Galifinakis' toast in The Hangover, when he's talking about the wolf pack. That is all.

  2. You rule. Wayne's World "we fear change" is one of my go-to mottos in uncomfortable moments. So happy for you and Amanda and I will keep checking out your blogs on the regular because I love your wit and your aesthetic. Congratulations! -- Nola

    1. Thank you so much! It's definitely oft-quoted around here...even my kids have been known to say it, though they don't know where it is from.

I'm really anxious to see what Amanda can do without me hounding her all the time!
